Senior Generative AI Engineer (Python, FastAPI)

We’re opening the position of a Senior Generative AI Engineer to work on a project of our Customer — an international company that develops software solutions for small and mid-sized municipalities. The project focuses on a product suite that supports key local government operations, including finance, utility billing, HR, payroll, online payments, tax collection, and asset management.

The assignment involves creation of AI agents for internal usage.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement AI-driven agents to enhance efficiency
• Develop and optimize scalable back-end services and APIs using Python
• Integrate different AI/ML models and work with APIs
• Review and correct AI-generated code with authority

Requirements:

• 5+ years of back-end development experience
• Strong AI engineering experience
• Strong proficiency in Python and FastAPI
• Hands-on experience with LLMs and APIs, OpenAI, or open-source models
• Knowledge of MCP and familiarity with more than one protocol approach
• Practical skills designing and implementing Agentic workflows and RAG pipelines
• Hands-on experience in CI/CD, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), GitHub Actions, and DevOps best practices
• Self-direction and ability to work from a high-level vision without refined user stories
• Willingness and standing to challenge stakeholder’s assumptions
• An Agile team player’s mindset, with strong communication and problem-solving skills
• English level — Upper-Intermediate or higher
